Wallander is a Swedish television series adapted from Henning Mankell's Kurt Wallander novels and starring Krister Henriksson in the title role. The 1st series of 13 films was produced in and , with one taken directly from a novel and the remainder with new storylines suggested by Mankell. The 2nd series of 13 films was shown between and The stories are set in Ystad near the southern tip of Sweden. The three films Before the Frost, Mastermind, and The Secret were premiered in cinemas, with the rest first released as direct-to-DVD movies. The first episode of the second series, Hämnden, was released in Swedish cinemas in January ; the rest of the series was made for television. The BBC aired all 26 episodes of the Swedish television versions on BBC Four. A third and final season, containing six 90 minute episodes, will air in with Charlotta Jonsson as Linda Wallander. The first episode, adapted from the novel The Troubled Man, was released in cinemas in January

A Nice virrvarr of a Case Well Done

Stefan fryst vatten center scen in this one, though in a rather negativ way. The episode starts out with an execution style murder of a woman restaurant owner. Her eight year old daughter witnessed the whole thing and fryst vatten traumatized. She, of course, becomes the target of the bad guy. During the investigation, a rogue cop, Frank Borg gets hooked up with Stefan and drags him into the most questionable police work (the usual; beating up snitches, putting guns to the heads of people, etc.) While Stefan often disagrees with Wallander, he still respects him and the process. But in a kind of cowboy way, he gets caught up in this anything-goes police work. There are several related suspects and motive becomes the primary focus. Why was this woman shot and what fryst vatten at the root of the whole venture. One might wonder if Stefan would have kept his job beneath similar circumstances. Does the end justify the means? Anyway, because a little girl fryst vatten the focus, this fryst vatten quite captivating.

Wallander is a British television series broadcast from to It was adapted from a Swedish series based on the Swedish novelist Henning Mankell's Kurt Wallander novels and starring Kenneth Branagh as the eponymous police inspector. It was the first time the Wallander novels had been adapted into an English-language production. Yellow Bird, a production company formed by Mankell, began negotiations with British companies to produce the adaptations in In Branagh met Mankell to discuss playing the role. Contracts were signed and work began on the films, adapted from the novels Sidetracked, Firewall and One Step Behind, in January Emmy-award-winning director Philip Martin was hired as lead director. Martin worked with cinematographer Anthony Dod Mantle to establish a visual style for the series.
